Will the Galaxy S23 be a flop? At least the latest rumors should upset Samsung fans quite a bit. According to reports, Samsung has decided against two innovations.
- The Galaxy S23 will probably not offer a front camera hidden under the display.
- Instead, this should again be housed in a punch hole.
- The new ISOCELL camera sensor is apparently not used in the cell phone either.
Samsung landed a sales success with the Galaxy S22, but the successor is not under a lucky star. Because two innovations hoped for by fans will probably not come up again. The cell phone should continue to use a display with a punch hole.
A seamless screen, like the one offered by the Galaxy Z Fold 3 thanks to the front camera hidden under the display, is not planned for the S22 successor IT Home
The expected major camera upgrade is also apparently canceled. As the usually well-informed Samsung insider Ice Universe reports on Twitter, Samsung will not use its recently introduced new ISOCELL sensor HP3 in the Galaxy S23. The sensor offers a maximum resolution of 200 megapixels.
Why Samsung does not use it remains unclear. For fans, however, the reports are a bitter damper. A new design in particular has been longed for for the Galaxy S series for years. It remains to be seen what innovations Samsung wants to come up with instead.
