Samsung Galaxy S23 prices leaked for all models

On February 1st, 23 Samsung will present the Galaxy S23 smartphones in the Unpacked event. Now there are already the first leaks for the prices targeted by Samsung. They come from the Twitter user RGcloudSwho frequently leaks technical details and other information from smartphones.

So far, almost all components of the new Galaxy S23 smartphones have been released in advance. There was no information about the prices. That changes with the tweet below, at least in the form of a rumor.

According to the Twitter post, models with exclusive colors and 1,000 GB of storage space should appear with a delay of two to six weeks.

These are the supposed prices of the Galaxy S23

According to the leak, the Galaxy S23 will appear in three versions as expected: the base model, the plus model and the ultra model. In the basic and plus models, the equipment options for memory and RAM are identical to the previous year, as the following overview shows:

• Galaxy S23: 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage – 799 Dollar
• Galaxy S23: 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage – 849 Dollar
• Galaxy S23 Plus: 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage – 999 Dollar
• Galaxy S23 Plus: 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage – 1.049 Dollar

The Ultra model does not have the 128 GB version, which cost $1,199 for the S22 Ultra. A model with 1,000 GB or 1.0 terabyte is added. The following cell phones or prices should be planned in detail:

• Galaxy S23 Ultra: 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage – 1.249 Dollar
• Galaxy S23 Ultra: 12GB RAM, 512GB Storage – 1.349 Dollar
• Galaxy S23 Ultra: 12 GB RAM, 1 terabyte storage – 1.499 Dollar

As in previous years, prices in Europey will probably be based on American prices. The S22 base model in the cheapest configuration cost $799. In Europey it came on the market for 849 dollars. The situation was similar with the S22 Plus model. It appeared in the simplest version for $999 and cost $1,049 in Europey.

Prices are a little lower than expected

If the current leak is correct, the prices for the new top model from Samsung will remain the same as for the S22 series.

Also due to a lack of chips in the market, Apple increased the prices of its own smartphones last year between 100 and 250 dollars. That’s why, in the run-up to the S23 unveiling event, many assumed that Samsung would increase its prices for this year’s Galaxy smartphones.

If the leaks from RGcloudS are correct, then Samsung is aiming for similar prices as last year. Nice side effect: Due to the fact that prices remain the same as last year, Samsung positions itself as cheaper competitor to Apple.
