The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a 200-megapixel camera. An insider uses pictures to demonstrate the difference it makes.
Samsung will equip the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 200-megapixel camera sensor, replacing the 108-megapixel sensor in the two previous models. But are more megapixels better in this case? The insider IceUniverse answers this question on Weibo with “Yes” and publishes two pictures to support his statement.
The photos show the same subject at 16x magnification. The photo on the left was taken with a 108 MP camera, such as that used in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. According to the insider, the image on the right was taken with the 200-megapixel camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The difference is immense.
The level of detail is noticeably higher in the alleged S23 recording. It remains to be seen, however, whether the smartphone can also be used in everyday life with images that are just as detailed or whether the picture was taken under ideal conditions. A presentation of the smartphone is expected to take place next spring.
