- The S22 was released in February this year.
- The Samsung Galaxy S23 could come onto the market much earlier.
- Several indicators point to a premature release.
In recent years, Samsung has always released the models of the S series in spring. This could now change with the upcoming Galaxy S23. Several hints point to an earlier release, although no exact date is known yet. With a bit of luck, sales could even start this year.
What are the signs of a premature release?
In the last few days, the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra have already been certified and approved by the authorities in China. This usually happens just a few months before the final release and could indicate a start of sales in December. In addition, a first render image of the S23 has already been leaked. Other indications of the early release include earlier orders for electronic components from Samsung Electronics.
one ET News report According to Samsung, this could be a new strategy. Large parts of the Christmas and New Year’s market go to competitors like Apple, as they present their new smartphones earlier. A release in December could therefore significantly increase the sales of the S23.

Whether such an early release is realistic remains to be seen. Industry experts suspect that the release could only take place a few weeks earlier. The launch in December is not impossible, but rather unlikely.
