Modern cars have all sorts of technology and sensors installed. The Samsung “Ready Care” system is now also to measure contactless health data while driving.

- The system measures various health data of the driver in the car and uses it for various interaction options.
- The aim is to ensure greater safety and well-being.
Harman, which belongs to Samsung, presented an interesting extension for its “Ready Care” product at CES 2023. The combination of software and various hardware installed in the car cabin should not only be able to monitor the behavior of a car driver, but should now also be able to take appropriate measures to defuse dangerous situations in an emergency.
According to press release the system can measure health data such as heart rate and respiratory rate without contact. In addition, sensors should be able to determine whether children are sitting in the car unsupervised. It should be possible to measure the driver’s mental state based on eye activity and other parameters.
