In view of its high price, the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 is probably not exactly a favorite in the gaming community and not only the dealers who have already had to reduce the purchase price notice this, but also those who wanted to make quick money with the graphics card – the so-called Scalper

Is the RTX 4080 just not popular enough?
A scalper is someone who buys popular and, above all, scarce products in large quantities in order to then resell them at high prices. Already a month ago there were increasing reports about it (via MeinMMO) that scalpers are having trouble finding buyers for the RTX 4080 – even at the suggested retail price. This even went so far that some dealers in the USA have ruled out the exchange of the graphics card.
The problem of scalpers: The RTX 4080 is available everywhere and there is no shortage. If you want to buy the high-end card for the price set by Nvidia, you can do so without any problems and you don’t have to sift through any ads on eBay.
This is now forcing many scalpers to undercut the retailer’s price and even offer the graphics card below the actual RRP. They will no longer make a profit from this – at most damage limitation is probably still possible. The prices on eBay and Co. range between 1,000 and 1,300 dollars.

But Nvidia is anything but alone in the valley of low numbers. On the contrary: In general, graphics cards are currently selling as badly as they have not been for a long time. You can read everything you need to know about it here:
