Gaming News Scars Above, the false air sci-fi action video game from Returnal, features new gameplay in the video
Scars Above was premiered via Prime Matter, Koch Media’s new ‘premium’ label. Following a 7-minute video broadcast at E3 2021, the title reveals a little more thanks to a trailer featuring new gameplay footage.
Scars Above puts the player in the role of Kate Ward, a scientist who lands on a mysterious alien planet inhabited by menacing aliens. The goal of the game will be to survive by destroying potential threats while advancing to discover the mysteries that the strange planet holds. Scars Above takes the form of a TPS rooted in a sci-fi universe, riddled with gunfights and some puzzles.
If the art direction can recall a certain returnal, the Prime Matter game isn’t burdened with a roguelite dimension. In order to survive and discover the mysteries hidden in the bowels of this universe, you must equip yourself well and adapt to the different abilities of enemy creatures. At least that’s what the trailer tries to show.
The title was developed by Mad Head Studio, to whom we owe Pagan Online. It’s due out later this year on PC and maybe a little later on consoles.
