At the 2024 European Championship in Germany, the decisive duels will take place for the first time on the third group match day. At the same time as their group opponents Germany and Switzerland, Scotland will face Hungary. The match will take place from 9 p.m. in the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.
The Scottish national team was able to keep their hopes of progressing with a draw against Switzerland. A deflected shot from Scott McTominay ultimately resulted in a 1:1 draw. A win would certainly have been possible had full-back Anthony Ralston not set up Xherdan Shaqiri’s equalizer. One thing is clear: The Bravehearts need a win of their own and help from Germany in the parallel match.
For Hungary, this year’s European Championships are over after the group phase. After a defeat against Switzerland, they also lost their second game against the German national team. In an overall one-sided match, the only dangerous thing was set pieces. For the sake of their fans, however, the team will still give it their all to avoid being eliminated without a point. In Germany, you can unfortunately only watch the game on pay TV on Magenta TV.
