Ten years after the debut, Scott Pilgrim takes on the seven nasty ex-boyfriends of his crush Ramona Flowers again. Did you miss it then? Then it will catch up soon!
In 2010 Ubisoft brought Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game the video game based on the comic series of the same name by Bryan Lee O’Malley on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The pixel-look sidescroll beater was a playful force and captured the charm of the original almost perfectly. The whole thing was accompanied by a fine chiptunes soundtrack by the New York band Anamanaguchi.
A few years after the release, however, the purely digital title disappeared from the scene because there were apparently licensing problems. But the fans didn’t let up and pestered Ubisoft and author O’Malley over the years with the question of a comeback. In the summer, the wish became reality: Ubisoft actually announced a Complete Edition for all current platforms. As of today there is an official date for it.
On January 14th, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia. Thanks to backward compatibility, PS5 and Series X / S players can also reach it alone or in co-op mode. Also included are the two DLCs Knives Chau and Wallace Wells. Uplay + subscribers will receive the title as part of the offer.
