Battlefield 2042 will be in Early Access for November 12, 2021 Owners of the more expensive editions and subscribers to EA Play Pro, the full release for all versions will follow on November 19th.
But all players have to be patient, because like in one Blogpost becomes clear by the release, starts Season 1 with new content not until 2022. DICE and EA want to reveal more at the beginning of the new year.
But at least there will be a pre-season in Battlefield 2042 first, which will keep players happy with time-limited modes and weekly challenges including rewards. This might not be easy, because as colleague Dimi had to determine in his brand new first test result on Battlefield 2042, the multiplayer shooter is currently plagued by many problems:

Battlefield 2042: we are at a loss
To be fair, we are not giving a rating for Battlefield 2042 yet, as we first want to extensively check the multiplayer mode, portal and hazard zone under live conditions. So take a look at GameStar.de in the coming days – we will keep you up to date!
It cannot be ruled out that DICE and EA will not start the first season soon after the release. Because obviously Battlefield 2042 still needs a lot of bug fixing and polishing beforehand. You can read in the test above why Dimi recognizes a strong game among the problems.
What can we expect in Season 1?
Publisher EA and developer DICE explain that the release of Battlefield 2042 only marks the starting point for the game. So the multiplayer shooter is like its predecessor Battlefield 5, again designed as a modern service game. In another article we explain what should be free and what should be paid in Battlefield 2042.
In the first year after the release, i.e. specifically in 2022 Four Seasons occur. The first season brings a new specialist, a battle pass full of cosmetic stuff and new content for the portal mode. In the course of the seasons, new maps and twists in the story should also provide variety.
