Battlefield 2042 players will have to wait longer for Season 1 to start. Like DICE in one after a long radio silence Blogpost explained, the first season will not start until early summer 2022. It originally seemed that it should be in March.

What happens next
The next update is scheduled to arrive in March 2022. This includes the revised scoreboard, improved voice communication and a better overview of your own player statistics.

There is still some time to go before early summer, i.e. around June. Should DICE actually perform a small miracle, it is conceivable that some players will give Battlefield 2042 another chance. But that is by no means certain.
