Blizzard has officially announced the aptly named Season 6 of Diablo 4. The season of rising hatred. Hate, of course, is the theme of the game’s “Containers of Hate” expansion, which launches on October 8 at the same time as Season 6.
Season of Hate marks another step forward for Diablo 4 as an MMO, fully introducing the previously revealed party-finding system and even introducing new encounters that are new to Diablo.

Season of Rising Hatred introduces roaming bosses to Diablo 4. Realm Walkerthese towering monsters wreak havoc around the sanctuary. They spawn randomly in an area and start roaming after recharging for a while. Players cannot directly damage them during this phase, but they can still strip them of health.
As it roams, the realmwalker spawns bloodbound guardians to protect it while it searches for suitable ground. The more of its protectors you kill, the more of its health will be removed. The next phase begins when the Realmwalker reaches the ritual site, where it will spawn three Spires of Hate.
Your goal now is to destroy the spire and prevent it from becoming more powerful. Each destroyed spire provides an opportunity for the realmwalker to attack. When all the spiers are destroyed, you can finally take down the damn thing – but that’s not the end.
The Realmwalker also has a blood portal on its back that you can enter once the giant is knocked down. This portal takes you to a boiling fieldthis is a new type of dungeon. As you try to find the realm door inside, monsters will start to appear and try to stop you. If you successfully reach the gate, you’ll be given the option to offer some materials in exchange for Boiling Opal, which will be yours once you complete the dungeon.
boiling opal is a powerful elixir that provides experience boosts and other bonuses when activated. You can find a total of five of these dungeons. Available to all Diablo 4 players except for Socketables’ Boiling Opal.
A realm walker will be generated in a random area of the world every 15 minutes. Owners of the Ships of Hate expansion will have even more opportunities to fight them, as every hour, a second Realmwalker will spawn somewhere in Nahantu (along with the existing ones).
To make the grind more interesting, the first Realmwalker of the hour will also be a Whisperer, and in Nahantu there is one every three hours.
Whenever the Sins are involved, Zakarum follows, which is why you won’t be surprised to learn that Season 6’s missions center on the ruins of Zakarum. Having failed to find the Tomb of Akarat, they have found new targets to aid you in your fight against the Realmwalkers. Your agent this season is Crusader Diamond from Zabinzeit.
The Creeping Hate quest is tied to the emergence of the Realmwalker and the Seething Realm. As you might expect, the reputation grind for Season of Rise of Hatred is defeating the Realmwalker and completing the Seething Realm dungeon. Seasonal missions are available after completing the final mission in Diablo 4’s main campaign (or skipping it).
Another major component of Season of Rising Hatred is Patch 2.0, which brings huge changes to character progression, item abilities, core stats, and more systemic changes to the flow of the game that affect all players.
In particular, Diablo III players will be happy to see the return of Standard and Torment difficulties, as well as an overhaul of the Paragon system, which, like these difficulty options, was inspired by Diablo III.
Finally, all classes are getting one new active skill and five new passive skills. All of these are reasons that make creating a new character and playing this time in Season Realm a better option. Find out the full list of changes on the official blog.
