As part of Xbox Developer Direct, Square Enix provides more information on Vision of ManaIt is the first game in the series to be launched on the Xbox platform.
Viewers can see new gameplay and behind-the-scenes footage, and get a closer look at the game’s features as well as some of the creatures and monsters. Combat is also on display, highlighting the addition of an aerial combat system that allows you to use weapons for physical attacks and perform magical attacks while in the air.
Elements, a staple of the series, return in the form of special items to help you in battle, and each weapon produces different effects in battle based on its respective element, allowing for a flexible and fast fighting style.
New companions who join you on your journey will help you traverse the game’s surface map. Your adorable new friends are called “pikuls” and they are inspired by animals and mythology.
Square also revealed that the Visions of Mana soundtrack will include 100 songs at launch, all of which were written or contributed by music creators involved in previous Seiken Densetsu games, including Hiroki Kikuta , Tsuyoshi Sekito and Ryo Yamazaki.
Speaking of music, the game will also feature a new adaptive music system that will allow you to seamlessly transition from map exploration to combat, with background music changing the moment you enter or exit combat.
Released in December 2023, this beautiful open-world RPG is the first mainline game in the enduring Mana series in 15 years.The series was launched in 1993 with “Sword Densetsu” and is the sequel to 1991’s “Final Fantasy Adventure” (“Final Fantasy Mystery Quest”). It has now spawned 17 works. Over the past 30 years, it has gradually lost a fan base separate from Square Enix’s other games.
Developed by Seiken Densetsu series producer Masaru Oyamada and series creator Koichi Ishii, the game will be released this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
