Diablo 4 Season 4 continues to progress smoothly, but that also means there aren’t always exciting things happening, or any major pitfalls worth complaining about.
However, Blizzard never stopped developing it, even with the recent PTR testing of the upcoming season, all eyes are turning to Season 5. The game’s next patch is set to release tomorrow, and while it’s small, it does bring a lot of welcome changes.

Patch 1.4.4 will go live on July 10. Typically, the second half of a season is a time to make balance adjustments and make minor revisions to any major changes implemented by the patch that kicked off the season itself.
However, Season 4: Loot Reborn has received its own patch early, so we’ve only seen a few small patches here and there. Tomorrow’s patch is one of them. The most meaningful changes are to the drop rates of tempering and potions, but there’s also an unexpected (but welcome) change to the price of boss summoning items.
The next season of Diablo IV will make boss summoning less of a hassle, but until then, you’ll be happy to know that selling boss summoning materials will now fetch more gold. The list includes the Scorched Femur, Grunt’s Head, and Trembling Hand – all of which will now run you 50,000 gold each instead of 20,000. The price of Stygian Stone has jumped all the way from 70,000 gold to 150,000 gold.
The drop rate of Tempered Manuals has been increased, and Blizzard has added new icons to indicate which Tempering category any given Manual belongs to, meaning different Tempering affixes will now come with unique icons.
Finally, the elixir drop rate has been reduced, which is actually not too bad because it was reduced a bit too much after the recent patch. Check out the full changelog on the official website.
