The year 2023 is coming to an end and you might also want to send a Christmas card or a gift or two and of course everything should arrive at its destination in time for Christmas Eve.
However, Christmas is almost here and if you still have something to send, you shouldn’t wait too long. Deutsche Post has now published the latest delivery dates for Christmas 2023.
Letters and postcards
- Deutschland – 21.12
- European countries – December 13th
- Outside Europe – 06.12
DHL packages and parcels
- Deutschland – 20.12
- Neighboring countries (except France) – December 14th
- Other European countries – December 11th
- Outside Europe – November 28th
DHL ExpressEasy
- Deutschland – 21.12
- EU countries – 21.12
According to Deutsche Post, it is already too late to ship abroad, but you can still send letters and packages in time (as of December 18th). It’s best to get it done as quickly as possible, then you might have less stress in the days right before Christmas.
Conversely, if you are expecting packages and need to go to a branch, you can probably do this on December 23rd and 30th. Most branches will still be open, writes Deutsche Post on its website.
If you also want to shop around Christmas, then it’s better to plan when you shop, as there could be a particularly large number of people out and about at this time. But Google Maps reveals when it’s worth shopping during the holiday season.
