Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is still under development, but today, Ninja Theory shared its latest progress in the development process.
In today’s Xbox expansion showcase, creative director Tameem Antoniades discussed Senna’s Legend: Hell’s Blade 2 Before full production, the team is currently working on the main foundation. So, it sounds like we will wait for a while, it has not yet entered full production.
The team is still working on motion capture, especially in combat. According to Antoniades, the fighting will be “real and cruel.” The team wants it to be real, so the animator and the actor who plays Senna have received combat training for the past two years.
Real-world clothing was also scanned in, and the team has been exploring Iceland, where the game is located, to capture the scenery of the country.
Announced during the 2019 Game Awards, Hell’s Blade 2 is the first Xbox Series X game announced, and we saw an in-engine trailer. The game was developed using Unreal Engine 5.
