The launch trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has been released, in case you needed a reminder that it’s actually launching tomorrow.
There hasn’t been a lot of hype around Ninja Theory’s upcoming Hellblade sequel on Xbox, so it’d be understandable if you didn’t realize it was launching tomorrow, May 21st. I personally missed its release, so until recently, that made some people a little nervous considering Microsoft just shut down Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. But at least Xbox has now shared Hellblade 2’s official launch trailer, giving a moody look at the game ahead of tomorrow’s release of Animal Souls, produced by Aurora. You can say what you like about the trailer’s content (it’s mostly just shots of vaguely emotional characters and Senua running without context), but you certainly can’t knock the game’s visuals.

The first game, Senua’s Sacrifice, was released back in 2017 to generally positive reviews, and while the game’s depiction of mental illness received some positive responses, there were also some significant criticisms, and hopefully Ninja Theory will develop a sequel.
