Ninja Theory recently delivered Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. The game was officially not a AAA title but rather a little smaller, but turned out to be an absolute success and was surprisingly well commercially. It's no wonder that Ninja Theory is now officially dedicating itself to a sequel with Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2.

The sequel has now been announced at the Game Awards 2019 and is quite remarkable in another way: it is the first game officially announced for the new Xbox Series X. After Godfall for the PS5, Microsoft's next-gen platform now has a first exclusive title to offer in the coming year.

The first Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was released in 2017 and created by a team of only 20 developers. Above all, the narrative structure and performance of actor Melina Juergens had been praised for his time. The action adventure also made use of motion capturing technology.

The successor will now build on the predecessor and should be available for the launch of the Xbox Series X in autumn 2020. The first trailer is attached for you; further information will follow in the coming weeks and months.
