Many players were naive that Shadow of the Erdtree, the new DLC for Elden Ring, was going to bring all the answers we expected about the mysteries of the Middle Lands and Miquella’s happy plan. While it offers answers, it has been nothing compared to the theories and questions it has raised. The task never ends with FromSoftware.
One of the most famous theories that has given the community the most headaches is the famous hexagon formed by the Sacred Towers in the Middle Lands. These have as their center a huge lake with a cloud. Absolutely everything has been theorized. Now, the DLC may have answered our questions
Several fans have overlaid the map of the Kingdom of Shadows (DLC) in the center of the Midlands and have found that many sections fit together surprisingly well. At first glance it may sound a bit hasty, but just take a look at the comments to start believing: there is a tower in the DLC, called Suppressing Pillarwhich keeps a tablet with a description that says “The very center of the Middle Lands.”
By superimposing the maps, they have noticed that this pillar is almost in the exact center of the Intermediate Lands and/or the hexagon formed by the Sacred Towers. And to top it all off, fans keep finding clues, like that the Golden Tree grew right in Márika’s hometown.
The second part of the tablet’s description, “All forms of Death appear here, only to be suppressed”, has so many implications for Elden Ring lore that it is impossible to explain them without going into too much detail, although it can be summarized (a lot) in that the queen altered the “natural” order to establish her own.
