Flying Wild Hog announces Shadow Warrior 3 Will be a PlayStation Now game at launch, which is great news for those who subscribe through the service.
Today, the developers also released a new trailer showing an expanded view of the Dragon Nest quest, revealing that Lo Wang and his companions are looking for a dragon that accidentally entered our dimension at the end of the last game.
The Dragon’s Nest has a bright landscape, and life here has been much better since the dragons made their home there. When fighting this dragon, you can use the in-game gore weapon, or just use one of the eggs against it.
With this entry in the series, it expands on the melee mechanics, allowing you to upgrade your katana to perform new attacks. Knocking down demons with your katana also gives your ranged weapons ammo. And, as you blast enemies to pieces, your health drops, allowing you to mend yourself and then engage in close-quarters combat.
Speaking of weapons, Gore Weapons allows you to separate your enemies and pit them against the Horde for a limited time. Almost all enemies in the game can be knocked down with Terminators.
The game also comes with a grappling hook, which adds freedom to combat and movement by allowing you to dart and swing around the arena, close the distance between yourself and your enemies, and even place explosive barrels. It also gets you out of some wall running and fighting sliding.
Shadow Warrior 3 will release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on March 1. Pre-orders are open now, featuring the exclusive Koromodako Katana – an eight-legged weapon.
Console owners will also get Flying Wild Hog’s 2013 Shadow Warrior and Shadow Warrior 2 for free.
