As promised, FromSoftware releases a new look shadow of tree, a massive expansion pack will be coming to “Elden Ring” in just a few weeks. This new story trailer is packed with new footage, although most of it is CG.
The trailer is quite exciting, about three minutes long. While it does provide an updated look at the inciting events behind the DLC’s story, it’s primarily a mood piece.

The main narrative of “Shadow of the Erdtree” revolves around Miquela of the Halig Tree, and the story takes place in a new map “Shadowland”. The trailer tells the story of a war not mentioned in the main game, in which Mesmir is a key figure.
Elden Ring’s legendary goblins will be showing off their prowess in this trailer, but those hoping to get a glimpse of new weapons, enemies, or even new playable areas may be a little disappointed. However, this trailer is still very exciting and there is a lot worth checking out.
The official Elden Ring account on Twitter has been sharing brief glimpses of some of the new creatures in the DLC, including this latest monster that looks like one from Bloodborne . With just a month to go, there might still be time to take another look at the highly anticipated expansion.
Shadow of the Erdtree is a massive $40 Elden Ring expansion and the only expansion for the game. It will be released on June 21st on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, requiring a copy of the 23 million-seller game.
While you’re waiting for Shadow of the Erdtree to be released, check out this mod, which restores some deleted content and creates something close to the Messmer, the new big boss in the DLC. Alternatively, since you’ll be visiting his throne room to access the DLC anyway, you can use the time left to kill as many Mohg as you can.
