Even though all of the content of the New Frontier Pass for Civilization VI has already been published, Firaxis continues to work on the strategy title. In April, a new update brings among other things brand new units.
In a video Firaxis has announced further innovations for the strategy epic Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. There should be a corresponding patch on April 22nd, which will be available free of charge and, among other things, will bring new units with it.
The three units mentioned for all civilizations are the line infantry, the Landsknecht and – by popular request of the community – the Tribok. Since each of these units changes the unit speed in some areas, the unit strength was analyzed again and the makers made various modifications. The aim is for the new units to function as appropriately weighted improvements, while at the same time compensating for previously existing differences in combat.
The fact that the New Frontier Pass has already been completed, the men of Firaxis have also used to modify and adapt existing civilizations, with feedback from players in particular. To ensure the best possible balance, Europe, the Khmer, China, de Mapuche, Canada, Georgia and others were adjusted. See the next patch notes for full details.
The April update will also bring two new maps with a true starting point and an optimized AI balance for the Navy.
