Let’s continue in the Leader Pass for Civilization VI: With the big builder package, the next DLC is now ready – and we’ll tell you here what’s in it.
The next Leader Pass DLC pack is available for Civilization VI and is called Great Builders. This focuses on better construction in the world and again offers you three new leaders, including one from Germany with Ludwig II.
Below is the official rundown of what each character will have to offer in the turn-based strategy epic:
Theodora (Byzantinisches Reich)
Theodora was an actress when the prospective Byzantine Emperor Justinian caught the eye of her. Since marriages of high-ranking men to actresses were forbidden by law, Justinian changed the law. It so happened that two years later, when he ascended the throne, Theodora became empress. In this position, Theodora championed women’s rights and exerted great influence on the religious politics of the empire, supporting a branch of Christianity that became dominant in Ethiopia, Syria and Egypt. In some Orthodox churches, she and Justinian continue to be venerated as saints. In the game, Theodora’s focus is on culture.
New ability: Metanoia
- Holy Sites grant culture equal to their proximity bonus.
- Farms grant a Faith neighborhood bonus to the Hippodrome and Holy Sites.
Sejong (Korea)
Sejong of Joseon, who is still considered one of the greatest leaders in Korean history, supported science as well as military advances and produced a book designed to help farmers learn new techniques from different regions. He is also credited with creating the Hangul alphabet, which replaced the Chinese characters used until then in writing Korean words and is still in use today. A lover of science and music, Sejong dislikes civilizations that surpass Korea in science and culture.
New ability: Hangul
- After completing their first technology of a new age, players receive double the amount of science per turn as a culture.
Ludwig II (Germany)
The “crazy king” Ludwig was born into a Bavarian noble family and ascended the throne at the age of just 19. Under his rule, Bavaria lost its independence to the German Empire, but Ludwig is best known for his love of architecture. He personally financed the construction of elaborate castles, which, although they drove him into financial ruin and contributed to the abrupt end of his rule, are today among the most important tourist attractions in Bavaria. As the leader of his civilization, Ludwig’s Eternal Mystery agenda causes him to like civs that don’t maintain the maximum number of districts in each city.
New ability: Swan King
- Wonders, even uncompleted ones, get +2 culture for each adjacent district.
- All Culture Neighborhoods grant Tourism after researching Castles.
Leader Pass is a fresh season pass for the long-running game, bringing a total of 18 new playable leader variants. These are divided into six additional contents.
