Sony’s State of Play aired today (January 31), showcasing the company’s plans for the coming year. No one was surprised by the renewed interest in Death Stranding 2, but we finally have more news about the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake.
Sadly, however, Silent Hill fans didn’t get as much as they had hoped for. In other gameplay trailers, a brief but exciting combat gameplay in Silent Hill 2 Remastered was also shown.
While it’s safe to say that I’m looking forward to more news about Silent Hill 2 Remastered, currently in development by Bloober Team, I can’t complain about the steady stream of Silent Hill-related content. Finally, the trailer looks pretty impressive despite being action packed, and the combat has definitely changed since 2001. I look forward to seeing more, but be sure to let us know what you think!
In addition to the fresh trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remastered, Silent Hill: Short Message also received a new trailer. Not only that, but the game is free-to-play and made a surprise launch on PlayStation at Sony’s State of Play tonight.
It’s not quite Silent Hill 2, but if you want your Silent Hill fix, you can try the game for free right now.
