Silent Hill 2 is considered a milestone in the horror genre and is getting a facelift more than 20 years after its release. The remake, which will be released on October 8, 2024 for PC and Playstation 5, wants to stay as close to the original as possible and yet adapt a lot of things. The camera perspective is new, the battles are more action-packed, the city is bigger. Does this mean we’re moving too far away from the almost perfect Silent Hill 2? We were finally able to play the survival horror title for around three hours and we’re coming out of the session quite positively: Silent Hill 2 could really be pretty good, but it still suffers from a few unnecessary problems.
