Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming soon and the game is proving to us that it has everything it takes to surprise us a few days before its release on PS5 and PC, with Bloober Team expected at the door.
Konami is preparing to release one of its biggest releases with Silent Hill 2 Remake on PS5 and PC starting October 8. For now, Xbox players are unfortunately left behind, and the game is taking advantage of its console exclusivity to highlight all the technologies offered by the PS5, promising an immersive and terrifying experience as desired. That’s all we ask.
After scaring everyone with its trailers that were clearly not up to scratch, Silent Hill 2 Remake finally proved to be extremely promising. When we started playing the beast, like many others, we were surprised by the quality of the title, especially its atmosphere. Silent Hill 2 Remake promises to immediately transport us into its universe and to achieve this, it pulls out all the stops on PS5, as this little trailer proves.
Silent Hill 2 Remake wants to pull out all the stops to scare us
As a horror game, audio plays an extremely important role in Silent Hill 2 Remake and Bloober Team used the 3D sound to make our blood run cold. As a reminder, the PS5 recently had a major update that lets you personalize your own 3D audio profile to optimize your experience. There’s no doubt that in the case of Silent Hill 2, it’s going to be a hit.
Of course, the game also places emphasis on graphics and wants to adorn itself with the most beautiful 4K thanks to the Unreal Engine 5, which we have already had the pleasure of seeing in use in several games, and we know that the graphics engine is powerful and pleasing to the eye. We hope that Silent Hill 2 will use this as it should. Our first impressions during our preview were more in the right direction in terms of the environments. It remains to be seen how these will look in the final game.
Finally, it is the DualSense that is highlighted in this small trailer to show off its capabilities. The haptic feedback should allow us to feel the most brutal blows in combat, as well as the shock and force with the adaptive triggers. We hope it goes even further, with, why not, vibrations that make us feel fear or the presence of enemies, for example. We’ll see, but there are some serious maps and Bloober Team is just around the corner.
Judgment of October 8th, when the game will be released on PC and as a PS5 console exclusive.
