Rumors have been swirling around the web for quite some time that Silent Hill is about to be resurrected with multiple titles. These rumors have now received initial confirmation.
So what’s going on at Silent Hill? There have been rumors about several new titles for a long time. Now there is further confirmation that there is a lot in the works. Director Christophe Ganz expressed himself in one Interview and confirmed there that several new Silent Hill games are currently being worked on. Gans directed the 2006 film Silent Hill and has also reportedly written the screenplay for a new production.
The interview states: “I’m working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams, with a large lineup of games, they will revitalize the franchise, I think they’ve been really impressed with the success of the Resident Evil remakes.”
Of course, this fits perfectly with the numerous rumors about a revival of the series. A remake of Silent Hill 2 is said to be in the works, and there is also talk of a series of episodes. In addition, a previously unknown title called Silent Hill: The Short Message appeared in the ratings in South Korea.
After the “playable teaser” there is now a new moving image of Silent Hills directly from the TGS 2014.
