Is Konami back to the well-known horror brand Silent Hill? Corresponding speculation after the discontinuation of Silent Hills a few years ago has abounded in recent years; according to this, there should even be several games in the works, including a reboot of the original game. These rumors have not manifested themselves so far, but today there is new food again.
The first images that are supposed to show the reboot of Silent Hill have now appeared on the internet; the publication was made by the renowned horror game leaker Dusk Golem on Twitter, but initially only lasted for a short time. Possibly due to an appeal to copyright infringement, the short message service took them offline again without further ado, but the photo material can still be examined online in a photographed version, among other things bei Reddit.
The leak included a total of five images that showed, among other things, a littered apartment or a close-up of a female face. One image also features the signature of Masahiro Ito, an industry veteran who has worked as a creature designer within the Silent Hill franchise, including t he creation of the iconic Pyramid Head. This does not comment on the leak, although it is usually quite busy on Twitter.
At the beginning of 2020, Ito said that he was working on a new, unannounced project, which fueled speculation at the time. It is fitting that the footage, according to the Leaker Dusk Golem, is said to be from the year 2020. He also received further information from his unspecified source, according to which two characters should be called Anita and Maya; SMS messages also play a role in the new horror title in some form. And: The Silent Hill seen on the leaked footage should not be the only game within the franchise.
