Rumors of Silent Hill have once again become news.
According to the "Rely on Terror" report, horror fans will not have only one, but two silent Hill Game to look forward to.
The first is a soft restart of the series, co-developed by Sony Japan Studio. Sony is said to be in charge of the project, but it is unclear whether another team from Konami is working on the project with SIE Japan.
More interestingly, the project was developed by the people behind Siren: Bloody Curse, many of whom eventually lived in Sony's Japanese studio. The report says this is a project in which Ito Masahiro is involved. Ito is responsible for biodesign and art.
Author / director Keiichiro Toyama and composer Akira Yamaoka are said to be involved. Silent Hill fans should be familiar with these three names because they helped create the original work.
The other project was actually another attempt at Silent Hills, a fateful Sil, which produced a P.T demo and was cancelled after Hideo Kojima and Konami clashed. Reor on Horror said Sony also supports the project and is working to "repair the relationship between Kojima and Konami."
Although it has been said that Silent Hill restarts have been in development for a year, Silent Hills is only talking about some topics and has not actually entered any form of production.
As revealed in another report earlier this year, Sony and Konami consider Silent Hill to be a storytelling adventure game in which Hideo Kojima will gain full creative control.
Although this rumor has been repeatedly reported from different sources, it is best not to have too much hope.
