The number of lost players in Cyberpunk 2077 is three times faster than in 2015’s The Witcher 3.
CD Projekt Red recently released Cyberpunk 2077 Since its launch, the number of players on Steam has dropped by 79%.
Data compiled by Githyp shows that although the game had 1 million concurrent users when it first entered the PC platform in December, RPG can hardly reach 225,000 players at once. The rate of decline is three times that of the studio’s previous game (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015), which dropped by 79% in three months.
It is worth noting that compared with multiplayer games, single-player games have limited replayability, so they tend to quit the game soon. Githyp did point out that open world games sometimes reverse this trend because the world of open world games is big and open.
“Cyberpunk 2077” was released on December 10, but the highly anticipated game became the source of drama even before it was released. In the process of initiation, a message appeared that the title may trigger seizures in patients with epilepsy. After its release, CD Projekt Red came under fire for the quality of the game. The game has many glitches, bugs and graphical errors on all platforms, but this is especially true for PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
The studio admitted that it did not spend enough time on “Cyberpunk 2077” on these platforms and vowed to fix some large patches to fix the game. Both Sony and Microsoft provide refunds for the game, and Sony has taken extraordinary steps to obtain the title from the PlayStation Store.
This has led CD Projekt to possibly face many class action lawsuits from investors who believe that the company has misled the quality of Cyberpunk 2077. New York company Rosen Law brought such a case, and CD Projekt vowed to be “strong.” Action” to defend yourself.
The game was booked 8 million times before it was released, and the studio made $500 million in the process. Since then, CD Projekt has said that “Cyberpunk 2077” sold 13 million copies in the first 10 days.
