Game News Single-player DLCs and “big surprises” are coming for the most violent fighting game in history
While Mortal Kombat 1 has just received the last character in its DLC “Kombat Pack #1”, the developers took the opportunity to make some announcements at the San Diego Comic-Con. On the agenda: an expansion of the story mode, a new feature and 6 new iconic characters!
The Mortal Kombat universe continues to grow
Ten months ago, NetherRealm Studios started Mortal Kombat 1the second reboot of the series and its twelfth work. Despite its status as a reboot, the game also serves as a sequel Mortal Kombat 11the events of Mortal Kombat 1 takes place in a new timeline created by Liu Kang during the DLC aftermath. The Mortal Kombat 1 roster continues to grow
During the San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, 2024, two new expansions for Mortal Kombat 1 were revealed. The first, Chaos reignsis an addition to the story mode as well as a new feature called “Animalities” that allows you to transform into an animal to kill your opponent, and the second is a second Kombat Pack with six additional characters. Three of them come from the Mortal Kombat universe, the other three are inspired by pop culture, as was the case with the Kombat Pack No. 1.
The Kombat Pack No. 2 marks the return of sector and Cyraxor at least female versions of these characters, but also Newbie Saibot
