Red Dead Redemption 2 still holds countless secrets that clearly show Rockstar’s ambitions with their western. Some discoveries are sometimes more interesting than expected.
When released, the game Red Dead Redemption 2 caused great emotions with its plot and the richness of its gameplay. Already marked by a successful first episode, the license was praised a second time. Even today, even though the software is a few years old, players continue to uncover secrets and winks left behind by Rockstar. Unfortunately, not all puzzles can be solved, for the simple reason that some elements can only be solved Leftover unused content.
When searching through the game files, fans could see that almost 60% of the elements conceived by the developers had been removed from the final version. In the Wiki, which lists them, we find dozens of quests, characters, animals and sometimes areas. In most cases, according to the developers, these elements were not interesting enough. But in other cases the cause is much more original.
New discovery in Red Dead Redemption 2
With so much attention to detail, it would have been strange not to make a mistake. A few days ago, the Red Dead Redemption Stories YouTube channel revealed what is actually an unused audio file from the game carver. As a reminder, th is term is used to denote a sequence that is missed but becomes funny, as in a blooper reel. In this audio from the quest “A Quiet Evening” in Act 2 of Red Dead Redemption 2, Dutchman Van Der Linde is heard explaining that he cannot go to West Elizabeth. However, as you can hear, his voice actor Benjamin Davis has great difficulty with his lines and misses the point in the middle of a sentence.
Suddenly he loses his role and says “f*cK” (f*ck),
A now legendary voice
This isn’t the first time this YouTube channel has revealed this type of Red Dead Redemption 2 content, and we hope it won’t be the last. Even if its author often publishes unused dialogues from Arthur Morgan or Dutch’s gang, he always reminds us that it is difficult to find them. Rockstar ensures that the development and production phases remain secret even several years after a title’s release. However, this didn’t stop the studio from realizing the potential of Roger Clark’s (Arthur Morgan) voice, as he will be reprising his character in an audiobook titled Red Dead History.
