A new episode of The Board Room confirms skate Will do some playtesting on the console in the future, and the game will have issues. do you know?
The latest episode of The Board Room gave us a fresh look at the upcoming Skate game (actually still called skate. But sorry, I didn’t write it that way), showing that some of the gameplay events we can expect while playing do kick in. The episode begins by asking, “What’s the use of console playtesting?” without any Seinfeld beats, and quickly replies, “We’re doing PC first, and then we’ll have more to share when we get to consoles.” .”
Like the release date, there’s no timeline on when we’ll be able to try out the game on consoles, but given that all the footage shown is still marked as pre-pre-alpha, it’s probably safe to expect it. will be longer. On the topic of progression, it was once again made clear that the game will not have paid loot boxes, which has been a constant concern for fans.
The developer also talked about some of the in-game activities, such as challenges, described as “short-term single-player experiences that rotate in and out.” There will also be pop-ups, which will be more of a collaborative event, and community events, which will obviously require a lot of skaters. Finally there are Throwdowns, which are customizable and user-initiated events that allow players to “get together, form friendships (or possibly competition), practice or show off.”
In addition to this, the live stream also mentioned the word “flumping”, which is an absolutely real word that combines flicking and jumping, which is obviously something that players will do when they are not on the board.
Skate was originally announced three years ago, after years of fan requests for new entries in the series. Since the game is still in early development, a ton of gameplay hasn’t been shown yet, but developer Full Circle seems to be very active in getting fans of the series to participate in feedback through playtesting.
