At Ubisoft Forward, the company released two new trailers skull and bones.
The trailer introduces ship customization and a glimpse at some of the powerful weapons you’ll be using to protect your loot. Another recounts the bloody race between corporations and pirates for control of the Indian Ocean.
During the presentation, the Skull and Bones team also revealed more about the smuggling network. You can use these once you’ve earned enough notoriety and unlocked your pirate lair, The Helm. This will be the base of your smuggling operations.
Here you can produce high-value goods like opium and rum before you sell them. Then, you can also choose your own contract.
In addition to showcasing boat customization videos, the team discusses various ways to make your boat your own. Each ship type is tuned for playstyles such as maneuverability, power, and cargo capacity. Some even have advantages like weapon power, and some can be equipped with different weapons, ammo, armor, furniture, and cosmetics.
When arming your ships, you can also adapt to your playstyle. You might want to sink enemy ships, or you might just want to disable ships for easier boarding. There will be a wide variety of weapons to choose from, from cannons and ballistas to mortars and torpedoes.
Weapons also have armor types that can counter it, so you’ll want to respond to your enemy’s ship with a weapon that can destroy it.
Skull and Bones will release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on November 8.
