Skull & Bones was originally announced by Ubisoft at E3 2017, but since then the pirate game has been anything but good. Now the next setback follows, so to speak!
The previous development of Skull & Bones is not under a lucky star, after all, the pirate game from Ubisoft is not making good progress, contrary to the previous plans when it was announced in 2017, and is still a long way from a release after several extensive revisions and restarts. So it shouldn’t be exactly fitting that there are now personnel changes pending in the management of the game.
As it has now become known, Skull & Bones is losing a co-director. After 15 years with the company, Antoine Henry has now turned his back on Ubisoft and is no longer responsible for Skull & Bones in a managerial position.
Henry himself confirmed his departure via LinkedIn such as Twitter and justified the step with new and “exciting adventures” that would now be due for him in 2022. He said he was grateful for the people he met at Ubisoft. At first, however, it remained open where exactly he was going.
It is not known how Ubisoft is now filling the game’s co-director position. The game should actually have been released in 2018, but has been postponed several times and is now planned for the 2023 financial year, which ends in March next year. As early as 2020 it was said that the development work had been completely overturned and restarted, since then the title has progressed with a new direction. New scenes and details have not been shown since then and it remains to be seen how the pirate epic will continue.
