Game news Skyrim: An “ambitious mod” transforms Tamriel into the image of a cult series
Skyrim, the fifth part of the saga of The Elder Scrolls role-playing games, landed in our gaming environment in November 2011. Some seem to want to change the lands of Tamriel.
Mods galore
Supported by a ubiquitous community, modders are becoming more numerous and Mods, more or less simple, continue to follow each other for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. To cite just a few recent examples, while a futuristic mod landed earlier this year to provide a Cyberpunk 2077-worthy experience, another mod, titled Skyrim Together: Reborn, landed in July allowing for multiple players to play cooperatively. More recently, a new mod, Shadow of Skyrim, like the system used in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, makes death more punishing just to spice up your games a little more.
These are the different mods that can transform a game, a good opportunity for those who are new to the concept to explain what a mod is in the world of video games. More commonly used on PC, A mod is a modification (hence the abbreviation) be introduced into a video game to add functionality or retouch an existing one
” Winter is coming “
One of the most “ambitious” ever made for Skyrim, this new mod called “Skyros” aims to completely recreate the world of Westerosone of the two continents imagined by George RR Martin in the series game of Thronesadapted from a novel series of the same name.
Heavy Burns presents via this video shared on his YouTube channel the progress of the project concerned around this total transformation mod whose development started just over a year ago. Recently, the development team has been reinforced with new hires, and those responsible for 3D modeling are working hard to represent the architecture of the buildings in the series as faithfully as possible. As for the script, it all starts at the beginning game of Thrones, as the player arrives in Winterfell in King Robert’s entourage. From there, it’s up to you to make the decisions that matter going forward.
If this Skyros mod hasn’t found a release date yet, that’s because patience is still required for a while as other recruitments are underway.
