The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind recently celebrated its 21st anniversary, and the folks behind Skywind released a new gameplay video with a fully converted mod.
This 20-minute video showcases the Necromancer in the Mawia quest, where you play as an agent of the Tribunal Temple in Molag Amur. The Morrowind missions showcase reimagined assets, level design concepts, and more immersive dialogue and scripted sequences.
As this project is still a work in progress, you may notice that the video contains gaps, missing dialogue, floating objects or placeholders from Skyrim.
The Total Transformation mod is a fan remake of Morrowind created in the Skyrim: Special Edition engine. The development team has not yet set a release date for it, as there is still a lot of work to be d one. Once complete, ownership of both games is required to play, but you can only play Skywind with the Skyrim game, not the old Morrowind games.
The UI, combat and graphics of the Skywind mod are based on Skyrim: Special Edition rather than Morrowind.
Skywind has been in use for at least 9 years and is a serious project with an all-volunteer team, all working in their spare time. If you’re interested in helping to move things forward, the team offers roles for people of all skills and levels.
