A third boxer will soon enter the graphics card market ring. Your name Intel. And we can now discover the names of some of the cards made by the manufacturer.
The American manufacturer Intel is preparing its entry into the field of graphics cards, as we observed at the presentation of the Game Awards in 2021. So the Alchemist GPUs will arrive in early 2022. VideoCardz seems to have exploited a source (who wants to remain anonymous) to get the names of the map models.
For desktops and laptops
The information in question is a file about the driver of these famous cards. He therefore mentions a first list that is here just for your amazed eyes:
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A380 Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350 Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A370M Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350M Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Iris (R) Xe A200M graphics family
The Intel range
So we have four desktop models (Arc models) and one laptop model (Iris model). Previous leaks have indicated that there could be up to five different variants of DG2 GPUs, these differences relate in particular to the memory. So it is not an exhaustive list, but it remains interesting to know the nomenclature that Intel is looking to adopt in the future.
Hopefully we can cope with this more easily than with Nvidia’s current strategy, which seems to want to multiply the models month after month. In terms of performance, the Arc A380 GPU could approach that of a GTX 1650 SUPER. And the Arc A350, in turn, is said to compete with an RTX 3050 and its rival RX 6400 from AMD. Just that.
We should have more information in the next few weeks.
