The highly anticipated return of Daredevil to television promises to be strong, according to Marvel.

A brutal return

This is probably the series that Marvel fans are most waiting for: Daredevil Born Again, the revival of the Netflix series dedicated to the blind vigilante, will soon debut on Disney+, officially introducing the character and his entourage into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Born Again is set between the sequel and the reboot and underwent several changes during its development. While fans of the first Netflix series feared that Disney would water down this new program at the expense of the darkness of the original material, the company and the writers have repeatedly assured that this will not be the case. Better yet, the show will certainly be mature and “brutal,” as Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television and animation at Marvel Studios, recently assuredWeekly entertainment.

Some of the most brutal action sequences we’ve ever seen come from Daredevil: Born Again, which is by no means a horror series, but it offers plenty of power and thrilling action.

A promising series

With Daredevil: Born Again, Disney wants to reaffirm its new position towards the MCU in productions for an adult audience. The big-eared company had already made this change with the miniseries Echo, in which Daredevil made a brief appearance, as well as with Deadpool and Wolverine, the first R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But if Daredevil: Born Again is to offer us more adult entertainment, the series will also introduce several characters to the MCU whose treatment is inevitably darker than that of previous Marvel Studios characters before it. Let’s mention in particular the Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, who must return here, but especially Frank Castle/The Punisher, the tortured avenger played on screen by Jon Bernthal. See you next March to discover the first episodes.
