Somehow Hades 2’s new character art has fans hungrier than the first game, and you can’t blame them

Did you play the first Hades and then spend years drooling over the beauty of the Greek gods that kept popping up on the screen as you tried to focus on escaping Hell? Well, it looks like Hades 2 has you covered, if the fresh gameplay reveal is anything to go by.

If you’re unaware, activity on Hades 2 has increased since Supergiant suddenly announced a technical test of the game earlier this week, with an Early Access release coming soon. The latest of these is an interesting gameplay stream of a beta version that the developers have completed, showcasing some of the new additions, as well as, uh, muscular women.

Yes, three hours of Hades fun with Supergiant Creative Director Greg Kasavin and Studio Director Amir Rao, including tons of action with the game’s new protagonist Melinoë, the younger sister of everyone’s favorite hunk – Zagreus from the first Hades. According to the developers, she is “a witch, a sorceress, [and] An Assassin” with an array of different weapons and the ability to unleash powerful spell attacks via a new magic bar that runs alongside her health.

The gameplay loop is largely what you recognize from the excellent original. Depart from the Crossroads – Melinoe’s base – for a mission I won’t mention just in case you want to go in a little blind, fight in different areas, receive gifts from different gods to switch or Increase your abilities and talk to characters, many of whom are new faces appearing for the first time. Yes, most of them are sexy.

For example, one of the game’s key characters is Hecate, the crossroads witch. She’s just casually dressed in an outfit that exposes her ripped midriff, just like you.She’s not the only one either, people on Reddit and Twitter have taken to adoring people like AphroditeHe returned to his casual state again, Apolloand Nemesis, whose design is basically perfect and enough to blow the minds of anyone who’s seen Lady Dimitrescu twice.
