return Has sold its unique NFT demo tape to buyers who are willing to pay $1,000 for the privilege of having a little game history.
In its E3 2021 demo, Devolver Digital provided a large number of its Max Pass Plus demo as NFT-but that was a “non-fucking tape”, not one of those nasty irreplaceable tokens.
“The only physical copy of the 2021 Devolver MaxPass+ presentation was lightly recorded on a VHS tape, and the label was violently torn off, so your brother or sister could not record it. Before that, it was used to record pornographic content,” Devolver said in its merchandise Explained in the store’s product list (thanks to Stevivor).
The item is priced at $1,000, which is not so bad in a world where people have been selling PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles for the same price on auction sites.
The tape is basically a one-time transaction for the presentation recorded on it-Devovler used its idea to undercut the recent growth of NFT transactions that have emerged in multiple industries, and the publishers have some attacks on the company’s greed.

At least all the money earned from sales is spent on a good career. “All proceeds from the sale of this tape will be donated to the Scratch Foundation,” the publisher confirmed. “Scratch Foundation is a free online programming community where children from all over the world can create their own interactive stories, games and animations. We support this amazing resource for children and hope that one day they can take advantage of their hard work , Talent and creativity for our own benefit.”
that’s good. Other companies should pay attention.
