On December 5th, Rockstar finally released the eagerly awaited first trailer for GTA 6. A huge spectacle, after all, GTA is considered one of the largest game series in the world and attracts a huge number of players. The trailer has already been viewed over 136 million times on YouTube.
However, it hasn’t even lasted a week and the first person feels unfairly treated by Rockstar and is demanding millions in compensation. We are talking about the so-called Miami Joker
whose real name is Lawrence Sullivan.

This is GTA 6! The first trailer shows Vice City in new splendor and the release
You took my life!
Sullivan became known to a wider public in 2017 after a police photo of the man had made the rounds on the internet. What was particularly striking here was his fully tattooed face and green hair, which immediately brought back memories of the Joker from Batman for many people.
Now Sullivan has posted a video on Tiktok in which he accuses Rockstar of using his face and life without permission.
So far, Sullivan’s demand is just that: a demand. Legal action seems to be the case Miami Joker
not yet initiated. He only talks about getting a lot of money from Rockstar – which at least sounds like the threat of legal action.
We need to talk, GTA! We need to talk. And if not, you gotta give me a million dollars or two. […] The Florida Joker doesn’t accept that. You took my face, you took my life.
Is there more going on?
Shortly after the release, people noticed that the new trailer for GTA 6 draws heavily on real events from Florida and Miami and presents them in a modified form in the trailer as social media videos. In addition to alligators in swimming pools and half-naked gardeners, the similarities between Sullivan and the prisoner seen in the trailer have already been highlighted.
It is also not the first time Rockstar has been threatened with a lawsuit, because some people found the satirical depiction of certain people uncomfortably familiar. The prominent example is actress Lindsay Lohan, who sued Rockstar because of the portrayal of a celebrity in GTA 5 and the blonde cover model.
However, after a five-year legal battle, Lohan emerged as the loser and Rockstar was not prosecuted. In the case of the Florida Joker, the inspiration stands out much more obviously than in the case of Lohan. However, it is quite unlikely whether Sullivan will actually dare to take legal action against the multi-billion dollar company and be successful.
What is your opinion on the situation? Can you understand the anger of the man from Florida, or do you think the reaction is exaggerated? What do you generally think about the trailer for GTA 6?
