We’re looking for a really good fake, or actual screenshot from the PC version of a PlayStation exclusive game.Someone just posted an honest PC screenshot return the goodsHousemarque’s PS5-exclusive shooter, and Sackboy: Big Adventure (PS4/5).
Of course, there is context. Both games are featured in a massive leak from Nvidia Geforce Now starting in 2021. While Nvidia said at the time that it wouldn’t take anything on this list seriously, time has shown that most of these names are actual games. Clearly, the big leak is the gift that keeps on giving.
On Reddit, user EmpressOfSony posted multiple screenshots from Returnal and Sackboy that appear to be running on PC. Screenshots show customizable keyboard controls and graphics options.
We were unable to upload these photos, but the embedded Reddit below provides links to all photos. Returnal seems to support unlocked frame rates, resolution scaling, and ray tracing. The menu actually seems to offer an extensive list of options for keybindings and graphics.
Sony hasn’t specifically announced Returnal or Sackboy for PC. That said, there is evidence that both games continue to increase on their way to PC. Just last week, Returnal appeared in Steam’s database under the codename “Oregon,” indicating that it’s closer than ever to launch. Sackboy also has its own Steam database entry, which was dug up last year.
Of course, Sony has made no secret of its ambitions to expand its game distribution business beyond the PlayStation console. The company has been bringing more and more exclusives to PC. This year alone, we’ve got the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves franchise, as well as Spider-Man Remastered and Mile Morales — and those are just officially confirmed games.
If you believe Sony, we’ll see half of it on PC and mobile by 2025, as the company aims to triple its revenue on non-PlayStation platforms.
