The remaster of Dead Rising had the excellent idea of modernizing itself. In particular, it adds a new feature that will save the lives of the most determined.
The remaster/remake (because that’s what the developers call it) Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be released very soon for PS5, Xbox Series and PC with the aim of updating a license that has lost its luster over the course of the episodes. On the menu there are still an insane amount of zombies, which will surely be more numerous than back then, and some adjustments. In the package we are even entitled to new features, including this mechanic, which is linked to an unlockable game mode that was sorely lacking back then.
A supplement that saves more than one
Dead Rising was a real showcase in its time, designed to impress the next generation. Hundreds of zombies, a huge shopping center, the ability to take anything and everything to kill the living dead… The very structure of the game was unique for the time and required replayability. At the end there was also the possibility of unlocking an endless mode. As the name suggests, it challenges players to survive for days by being careful to eat so as not to die and, of course, by surviving zombies and other notorious psychopaths.
This mode remains in the memory of even the most dedicated players for a particularly difficult achievement/trophy. The latter required surviving for seven days, and that was no walk in the park. Not only did the game get increasingly difficult, but above all, the trophy required sitting in front of the screen for almost 14 hours without stopping. Yes, no stopping or saving possible. A marathon where a wrong tap sent you back to the main menu with a tap on the shoulder. All this to unlock an indispensable trophy for the 100% and a simply ridiculous cosmetic outfit.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is modernized, all the better!
So yes, of course this achievement will actually exist in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, but there is something new: saving! It’s pretty stupid, but in this famous infinite mode it will now be possible to save at certain times. However, nothing is likely to change in terms of increasing difficulty and the need to pay attention to the life bar by eating regularly. Many players who have sweated blood and water are relieved by this news, others are already complaining and swearing that Capcom has given in to the famous “casual players”. There is still a chance that they just… don’t save. But obviously you don’t like it. The reality is that this is good news for the old veterans who gave their all back then.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be released on September 19th for PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
