One of the ways that SEGA has wanted to celebrate Sonic’s 30th anniversary is by bringing back Sonic Colors, one of the classic adventures of the popular blue hedgehog that debuted at the time on Wii and now will return in the form of a remastering with the name of Sonic Colors Ultimate.
However, this new version will not be characterized only by having improved graphics that will make the image move to 60 fps and reach 4K. To prove it, we just have to take a look at its new trailer that makes a comprehensive review of all the novelties that have been implemented for the occasion.
One of them is about modo Rival Rush, in which we will compete against Metal Sonic in a race through various scenarios. In addition, during the game you can obtain tokens that will be used to unlock new auras, gloves and shoes in case we want to modify the appearance of Sonic at some point.
Those who get tired of running from one place to another will transform Sonic into a ghost that will allow you to fly across the stage and through walls to reach new areas. And this will not be the only help, since there will also be save points to which we will return thanks to Tails if we fall into the void and by collecting 100 rings we will temporarily become invincible.
For the rest, the controls can be customized to suit each individual and the soundtrack has also been remixed so that the different melodies can be heard better than ever. That said, to get hold of Sonic Colors Ultimate we will have to wait until September 7th, the day it will go on sale on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC through the Epic Games Store.
