A retail store in Taiwan appears to have confirmed a November 15 release date Sonic Frontier.
Additionally, the listing states that the game will receive a batch of DLC (via reddit) after launch.
If the date sounds familiar, it’s because it pop up In the PlayStation database at some point before being removed (thanks to Nintendo Everything).
SEGA said in its debut at The Game Awards 2021 that Sonic Frontiers would then be coming to PC, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox this holiday season.
This is the latest 3D entry in the Sonic franchise, following Blue Blur and his friends on their hunt for Doctor Eggman who has lost control of “ancient technology”.
It will feature an evolved gaming experience where players will be able to explore lush, expansive landscapes with Sonic’s signature speed and power.
Sega says it expects a lot of “twists and turns” and more details will be revealed closer to the game’s release.
The game will be unveiled during gamescom: Opening Night Live next week, so hopefully a release date will be confirmed by then.
If you head to EGX 2022, you’ll be able to experience the game for yourself. EGX will be held at the ExCeL Centre in London from September 22 to 25.
