The coronavirus pandemic has affected many companies worldwide, even influencing the release and production of various cinema films with the intention of resuming work after everything is normalized. Sonic the Hedgehog movie apparently it is also affected in lockers, which has caused Paramount Pictures to consider releasing the digital version much earlier than they had planned.
The company has confirmed that Sonic the Hedgehog will arrive on March 31st to VOD platforms, like Amazon and iTunes, and will also be available for rent on digital platforms in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K from may 19. Furthermore, the version 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray will feature a comic Sonic and The Donut Lord limited edition print and other surprises such as deleted scenes, music video clip for the song "Speed Me Up", interviews and more of actors and more. Paramount Pictures has not yet confirmed when the digital version of the film will hit Spanish platforms, but it is expected that soon after it reaches the United States it will be available in other parts of the world.
