A few days ago, Microsoft broke the news by adding more than 70 titles to the list of Xbox One games that can be used on Xbox Series X | S receive a frame rate boost. Sony wanted to remind gamers that certain PS4 games are enhanced when run on a PS5.

Sony has just released a short trailer devoted exclusively to the topic “Game Boost“on PS5. Behind that name are the few PS4 games and PlayStation VR that have received updates to run better on PS5 than PS4.
The titles that have benefited from Game Boost so far are mostly first-party games from Sony. The latter are logically the honor in this video. For example, God of War and Ghost of Tsushima can run at 60 frames per second thanks to a patch released after the PS5 was released.
A mystre lucider
In total, only 3 games are shown in this video: the two titles menti oned above and Shadow of the Colossus. And the presence of the latter in the video is surprising, given that Sony has not yet communicated about improvements to the remake of the Team ICO game developed by Bluepoint Games for PS4.
Also note that Sony is using this trailer to reveal the official Game Boost logo, a logo whose goal is to better show players the titles that will benefit from these improvements on PS5.
If the release date of this video and logo is certainly not trivial, one might wonder whether Sony doesn’t intend to bring Game Boost to the fore in the future, for example by adding benefits to the list of games. Now we have to wait for more information from the Japanese manufacturer to be sure.
