We all agree that there is an implicit and unwritten relationship between Street Fighter and the arrival of summer. Capcom has a lot to do with it, and the next numbered installment will be no exception: the PlayStation digital store has set the arrival of Street Fighter 6 for the June 2, 2023. And not only that: we already know what they will include the three digital editions.
First things first: the release date announcement Capcom itself has not given it but it comes from the digital reserves of PS5. As it has been captured from Reseterathe promotions and bonuses when buying the game in advance expired with its launch, definitively setting the date -at least on PlayStation- for the second day of June.
From here it is time to break down contents and what differentiates one edition from another. The first surprise is that the PS4 and PS5 copies come together, so if we make the generational leap we won’t have to pay a second time for the same game. From there, and following the trend of current fighting games, there will be three digital options.

What is the difference between the Deluxe and Ultimate editions? According to this leak, and based on what was seen in the fifth season of Street Fighter V, it is understood that while the Fighters Pass will guarantee all the characters that appear during the first year of the game, those who bet on the definitive edition will receive all the contents that come out, which are usually additional costumes, colors and, basically, aesthetic elements.
The appearance of the date on PSN is no coincidence: we are on the eve of the Game Awards and a new closed beta of the game has been announced to be held between December 16 and 19. Of course, we are open to announcements and surprises.
In any case, and as we mentioned, Capcom itself has not yet set an official date for the game. The Osaka company assured that it would have at least one big announcement for the Game Awards and it seems that the hare has jumped ahead of time. In the same way, it will be time to wait for the official announcement as well as the physical alternatives. If the above is accompanied by a good trailer, better than better.
In addition to PS4 and PS5, Street Fighter 6 it will also be coming out on Xbox Series X/S and PC offering cross-play between all systems and Rollback Netcode. A new numbered chapter of the cult saga always welcome. If it also includes the Arcade mode, the characters from the arcades and a lot of new faces, even more.
