Sony Pictures (Sony Pictures) is delving into PlayStation’s video game properties.
Sony PicturesThe work of Sony Corporation’s television and film production department seems to be more than just Uncharted.
Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra told CNBC (via MediaPost) that the studio is producing three movies and seven TV shows, all based on PlayStation video game content .
According to Vinciquerra, Sony will rely more on its own brand in the future. He explained: “We don’t have a specific plan, but there is a plan within the company called One Sony.”
“You will see more integration between Sony companies.”
Sony, of course, consolidated this commitment last year by establishing PlayStation Productions, which aims to adapt PlayStation’s various IPs to movies and TV. PlayStation Productions was led by Shawn Layden at the time, and you will most likely see its logo in the upcoming Uncharted movie.
Thanks, Resetera.
